Please don’t tell me you’ve never heard of a Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Actually, if you have, you’re in the minority.
Great Finds, Great Prices!
Yes, Habitat for Humanity ReStores are one of the best kept secrets of home improvement and decorating DIYers. They are a brick and mortar, nonprofit organization and sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, architectural salvage, home decor accessories, building materials, paint, and so much more to the public.
The first time I visited, I became an instant fan. Why? Every ReStore is a virtual treasure trove of all things for the home. Due to their wide selection of often-changing inventory, there are lots of one-of-a-kind and ready-to-ReDIY items. My pinterest board “before and after” come to life! Oh, and their prices? A fraction of retail!
Hello! Now, that’s my kind of shopping experience!
What’s additionally delightful is when you shop at a ReStore, the proceeds are used to help build Habitat for Humanity homes and as well as build strength, stability and self-reliance in local communities and around the world.
See Up-to-Date Inventory on DiggersList!
One of the benefits and fun shopping at a ReStore is that you never know what you’re going to find. DiggersList is a great way to “window shop” your local ReStore every day and stay one step ahead of savvy buyers. Many ReStores list their current inventory on their DiggersList storefront (and on their DiggersList widget) so you can keep up with what’s in the store. Note: some items sell fast, so be sure to call if you’re interested in something specific.
Donate and Recycle!
Whether you’re moving, renovating, organizing or downsizing, you can donate your stuff to the Habitat ReStore donation centers. Besides providing inventory that will be sold to support the Habitat for Humanity mission, you’ll also prevent hundreds of tons of perfectly usable furniture, doors, paint, appliances and more from ending up in landfills.
Talk about a win-win!?!
