It hailed this morning and our K9 kid, Klunkers, who was rescued off the streets, was not too pleased. I have to agree with him. I was hoping to finally work on an unfinished cabinet that’s been waiting patiently in the garage for me to get over this darn, nagging flu. Oh, well…we need the rain and Sunday may offer some DIY refurbishing time. As for Saturday, I thought I’d offer y’all a very simple, yet elegant project to brighten your cloudy weekend. Creative crafter Andrea Brand of Charcoal and Crayons unfolds very simple instructions on how to make her version of a scrap paper lily. Perfect for adding a sprig of spring to your home, Easter, or any kind of girlie-girl festivity (showers and/or birthdays), I hope you’ll have fun with this very short and sweet activity.
Paper Lily…here’s what you’ll need:
- square piece of paper – scrap, scrapbook, newspaper, wrapping paper, crape paper…any kind will do…go nuts!
- pencil – for curling the petals
- optional: bendable floral sticks – to attach as a stem and place in a beautiful container (try this online site SaveOnCrafts)
Here’s what you do:
1. Fold corner to corner to create your square.
